Top 5: Spider Man Video Games

Spider-Man has been in numerous video games and in several platforms. Peter Parker/Spider-Man's story is told in many ways in the gaming world and all have enjoyable gameplay. However there are only five that stand out.

5. Spider-Man (2000, Playstation1)

This game tells the story of Spider-Man being framed for stealing Doctor Octtavious' technology. Now, New York City is covered in a mysterious fog and the webbed hero tries to uncover the truth. This game gives a nostalgic and classic Marvel vibe.

The gameplay is exceptional when Spider-Man fights his enemies and web slings from one building to another. The story itself is enteraining especially when it brings plenty of Marvel characters such as Daredevil, The Punisher, Venom and more.

4. Spider-Man 3 (2007, Multiple Platforms)

We relive the movie of the same name in this one. Peter's story continues with his best friend Harry (now the new Green Goblin) trying to end him after learning what happened to his father. In addition, Venom enters the story and tries to fully take control of Peter.

What stood out in the game were the new bosses.

We have the same villains from the movie like, Sandman and Venom. However, the game also includes Morbius, the Lizard and Kraven the Hunter. It gives the players more to do and it adds more drama and excitement into Peter's journey.

3. Marvel's Spider-Man (2018, Playstation 4)

Insomniac Game's first installment of the Playstation 4 franchise was a big hit. The story takes place where Peter Parker works for Doctor Octavious and also protecting the city of New York as the webbed hero.

The gameplay in the game is the first green flag. Gamers can swing to anywhere in the city and also keep track on missions and crime. Also, the new gadgets and upgrades for the hero makes it engaging. The story is also entertaining as new villians emerge and Peter's story advances with new challenges in his work life and social life. In addition, the MJ and Miles missions added more excitement to the game.

2. Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020, Playstation 5)

The second installment of Insomniac Games focuses on Peter Parker's new protégé Miles Morales. Peter leaves town with MJ for a while and Miles is put in charge of protecting the city.

Playing as Miles Morales gave us a whole new Spider-Man to play. The gameplay was similar to the previous installment, but it added the invisibility and venom powers to the protagonist. The storyline itself kept the gamers on the edge of their seats. Seeing Miles step up to become the other Spider-Man was riveting.

1. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (2023, PlayStation 5)

Peter and Miles continue their adventure in the latest Insomniac Games installment. The two Spider-Men work together to save the world from Venom.

This gameplay made the game interesting. People can switch between Peter and Miles. By switching, they have their own missions and side missions. Plus, both Spider-Men have their own challenges and struggles throughout the game. Between the boss fights and the storyline, it’s the very reason why this game is on top.
